Our Policies
Retail
- We do not do cash or credit card returns but will happily exchange any item purchased in our store for another one or will issue you a gift certificate. All items for exchange must be in like new condition and must have original tags attached. All items for exchange must be presented within seven (7) days of original purchase.
Grooming
- Grooming services are done by appointment however if space permits walk-ins will be accomodated.
- The entire grooming process usually takes two to three hours but may take longer especially on weekends. We request that you drop off your dog at his/her appointment time and we will call you as soon as he/she is finished.
- Due to space limitations we require that you collect your pet within an hour after his/her completion. Customers leaving pets for periods longer than this will be assessed a $15 fee.
- We require that all pets be current on Rabies vaccinations in order to be groomed.
- Grooming prices vary based on temperament of the pet and condition of the pet’s coat.
- We have the right to reject any pet at our sole discretion if we believe that grooming the pet will be hazardous to the pet and/or our employees.
- We take precautionary measures with all of our clients but cannot be held responsible for cuts or lacerations on severely matted pets.
- Please be advised that additonal fees will be charged for dogs with matted/tangled coats. This fee is in addition to the regular grooming price.
- All grooming prices are subject to taxes. As is usual with all service provides, our groomers are always happy to receive tips for their hard work!
- Discounts and offers may not be combined.
- Grooming charges are non-refundable. We will gladly fix anything you are unhappy with as long as it's within 24 hours of the initial grooming. We unfortunately cannot be held responsible outside of this timeframe.
Doggy Daycare Policies
- All pets must be pre-screened (interviewed) before being invited to use our doggy daycare services. Pets must be non-aggressive towards other pets and people. This will be determined through our interview process. During the interview process we will ask you several questions about your dog to better understand his/her personality. All dogs must also stay a mandatory 3 hours(or up to a full day) with us (without mom or dad) as a part of the process. There is no charge for the interview or registration. Interviews are available by appointment only.
- Cats do not need to be interviewed but they must be non-aggressive to people.
- All pets must be at least four months old to attend doggy daycare at Kiki’s. All males over the age of six months must be neutered. While we suggest that females be spayed for their own health, we do not require this. However, we will not provide services to any female pet that is in heat.
- Dogs must be vaccinated against Rabies and DHPP within the past year, and Bordatella within the past six months. Cats must be vaccinated against Rabies and FVRCP within the past year.
- All pets must be healthy and free of communicable diseases (within the past 30days).
- All dogs must wear a flat collar with identification. We do not encourage harnesses and choke or pinch collars. Please also understand that collars may become damaged during play and we cannot be held responsible for that.
- Since other personal pet belongings may get soiled or damaged we request that you do not bring any of your pet’s personal belongings. Rest assured we have lots of bedding, and community toys tend to reduce instances of toy aggression and protection.
- All pets must be picked up by closing time for doggy daycare. Pets picked up after closing will be subject to a late fee of $5 per every fifteen minutes.
- Packages expire after six months and are non-refundable.
- Discounts and offers may not be combined.
Boarding Policies

- Please bring enough food to last the duration of your pet’s stay with us. Please place dry food in Ziploc bags with your pet’s name indicated on the bag. Please print your pet’s name on canned food with a permanent marker. We request that you do not bring large bags of food or containers.
- Since other personal pet belongings may get soiled or damaged we request that you do not bring any of your pet’s personal belongings. Rest assured we have lots of bedding, and our "in house" community toys tend to reduce instances of toy aggression and protection.
- Boarding chek-out time is 10 a.m.. Pets not picked up by this time will be subject to daycare rates.
Dog-walking and cat-sitting policies
- All dog-walks and cat-sits must either be prepaid or credit card kept on file.
- All client keys must be dropped off in advance of visits. We cannot be held responsible for keys that do not work.
- Clients are responsible for ensuring keys work.
- Clients will be held responsible for damage caused by pet to Kiki’s staff, property or other during dog-walk or cat-sit.
- All appointments not cancelled within 24 hours prior to your appointment will be charged the full dog-walk/cat-sit fee.
- We provide a two hour time frame guarantee on all dog-walks and cat-sits. While we cannot guarantee that your pet will be seen at the exact time you request, we do guarantee that your pet will be attended to within two hours of your requested time.
